Summer Camp Recap

Summer Camp was a HUGE success!
I spent four weeks with 7 darling little artists, and we completely wrecked my house. Did you know that pom poms can stick to the ceiling?

Some see that as insanity. I see it as an excuse to redecorate my house (woo hoo!).
As I swept glitter off of my kitchen floor, pulled glue out of my hair, and wondered at the hot pink footprints on my back porch, I realized a heavy truth.
Parents are amazing. They’re like storm chasers living with tiny glitter-filled tornadoes. Except that the tornadoes are living, breathing, tiny humans with beautiful and complex personalities and ever-changing emotions. You finally chase one down and track its progress, but just as you make a prediction of its path, it changes direction. And while you wish that for JUST ONE MOMENT that it would stop, you simultaneously want to wrap your arms around this adorable windstorm.
Seriously, it’s a lot of work keeping your home from looking like a crime scene. And while I do enjoy having my house all neat and tidy, I loved that for four weeks, I was able to give a handful of moms a breather.
I'm thrilled about what is happening at 'Brella Studio this fall. In a few short weeks, I'll be able to offer another opportunity for creative littles to make messes that hard-working parents won't have to clean up. The best part? You don't even have to leave your house.
Because moms, dads, caregivers, you deserve it.
