Understanding Event Formats
Private Event (most common)
Overview: With a guest list that is reasonably well defined, an art teacher guides artists through a themed, pre-planned art project inside the truck in groups up to 12 at a time. Guests keep their artwork and also enjoy painting the truck exterior. Host sponsors the art truck so guests enjoy activities for free.
Typical size: 2-35 artists
Common examples: birthday parties, church groups, summer camps, homeschool co-ops
Community Event
Overview: The art truck provides on-demand art projects to attendees, usually while other activities run concurrently. Attendees enjoy painting the truck exterior and can hop inside the truck to create artwork they get to keep. Host sponsors the art truck so event attendees can enjoy activities for free.
Typical size: 20-500 attendees
Common examples: church events, company picnics, sponsored tailgates
Vendor Event
Overview: The art truck offers pay-per-project activities for event attendees.
Typical size: 200-10,000 attendees
Common examples: holiday markets, regional festivals, craft fairs
