About Family Playgroups

Small children love to make a #BeautifulMess and we've created a safe place for it! Parents and caregivers might loathe a mess at home, so we've created a variety of weekly creative play, mess-making, socialization, and learning opportunities for children ages 2-5.

Our weekly playgroups are designed to help children develop fine motor skills, social skills, and creativity. Each week we have a set of activities to keep your little one engaged and learning. Our studio is safe space for them (and us as the parents/caregivers) to explore this season of life and figure it out together.

Some of our activities might even be banned in your house, but maybe our studio gives you a chance to loosen the rules or set healthy boundaries!

Developing Creativity

• Painting on unusual surfaces
• Painting with unusual tools
• Painting a masterpiece (over several weeks)
• Recognizing colors
• Recognizing shapes
• Exploring textures

Developing Social Skills

• Sharing
• Taking turns
• Being kind to our neighbors
• Cleaning up our messes
• Using gentle hands

Exploring Messy Materials

• Making art with shaving cream
• Using glitter
• Practicing with glue
• Exploring sand/rice/beans
• Making play dough
• Making slime/goo

Developing Gross Motor Skills

• Building with blocks
• Playing with cars and trucks
• Having dance breaks

Developing Fine Motor Skills

• Practicing with scissors
• Learning scissor safety
• Using tongs to move objects
• Painting with brushes
• Exploring sensory bins

Babies/Crawlers

We have diaper essentials, a changing table, and a play pen for baby siblings/crawlers who might be tagging along.
